Transnational analysis of societal food waste initiatives and issue communication framing

The aim of this WP is to identify success factors of food waste avoidance initiatives and explore the effect that framing of the issue has on consumers on the background of national and cultural differences. We will analyse influence factors on success or failure of past or current governmental, food-sector-led or societal initiatives for avoiding food waste. Cases from different European countries will be selected and textual and visual material and stakeholder accounts gathered, content-analysed and results described following the MOAB (motivation, opportunity, ability, behaviour) framework.
